What we do

We aim to provide research and advice of the highest quality, providing the maximum added value from innovative analysis and policy solutions.

Our work focuses around our existing areas of expertise in housing, planning, regeneration and city and regional development and includes:

                ·         Bespoke advice to senior managers in the public sector;

·         Advice on strategic policy development in housing and regeneration;

·         Management of large research contracts;

·         Evaluation of policy initiatives;

·         Strategic analysis of housing markets;

·         Urban and regional studies and analysis

We aim to fill a niche which distinguishes what we offer from the large volume consultancies and from the academic sector. Unlike the large consultancies, if you hire us you will receive our services in person and throughout the commission. Between us we can draw on many years of experience in problem identification, research and analysis or advice on undertaking research, consultancy and policy advice, report writing, presentation and dissemination to a variety of organisations, including European agencies, central government, local government, the Housing Corporation, housing associations, EP, a range of regeneration agencies, charitable trusts such as the Rowntree Foundation, and many others.

We also wish to distinguish ourselves from other consultancies by offering a responsive service and by drawing on Brendan Nevin’s substantial experience of policy delivery in the public sector.  However we have the capacity to undertake quantitative or qualitative research directly, with access to GIS and other analytical approaches, drawing on Philip Leather's experience and Brendan Nevin’s capacity to identify and explore key trends and emerging policy issues.  We believe this will provide our clients with a more personalised service of advice, consultancy and research tailored to their specific needs, with the involvement of senior and experienced staff guaranteed.

Where appropriate we collaborate with other carefully selected partners, including organisations in the academic as well as the consultancy sectors, drawing on our position as Visiting Professors IPEG at the University of Manchester.
